Where are we?
Before you is a metaphorical map of Terracotta.
At the top of the path stands a welcoming home, its windows aglow from the warmth of its rooms. From the bough of an ancient tree hangs a swing; it invites us to nurture the child within even as we integrate our hard-earned wisdom. At a distance, we see cows grazing in tranquility — proof that even the quotidian is extraordinary by its very essence.
A sundial evokes the passage of time, but the thyme plant beckons us into healing, reminding us that time is also medicine, and just as we draw water from a well, we can draw insight from unseen corners of our psyches. Behold the instruments we’ve scattered in the meadow — each string is eager to be played. Our typewriter and quill await upon a nearby writing desk. We have the tools to transmute shadows into light.
On the horizon rise the alabaster cliffs of Upper Normandy, guardians of sea and sky. Beneath them, a single boat glides steadily; it feels the kiss of freedom in its sails. And one day soon, we’ll gather round the bonfire to share our tales, both penned and lived.
Take note: this is no ordinary map — each speck of stardust is a doorway. Touch one to enter.
